BIO
Tony Perez is the General Manager of SURFER and SURFING at The Enthusiast Network (TEN).
Tony is an accomplished leader with over 20 years of sales, marketing and management experience in the action sports industry. Currently the General Manager at SURFER and SURFING, Tony has developed expertise in the areas of operations, sales management, strategic planning and revenue generation, particularly in relation to traditional and new media, events, and branding. Prior to TEN, Tony lead sales for Sector 9 Skateboard Co. His leadership has helped transform SURFER and SURFING from traditional print-first properties into robust digital, social and events brands. Tony successfully spearheaded Surfer Poll’s move back to the North Shore of Oahu as well as the creation of properties including Beached Days, Surfing Supply and The Factory and brand extensions like SURFER The Bar.
Originally from San Diego, Tony studied physical education and social psychology at Point Loma Nazarene University. He currently lives with his wife and two children in Newport Beach and enjoys surfing, golfing, and coaching his kids’ youth sports activities.
