As Surf Parks proliferate and new facilities open around the world, despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Surf Park Summit 2020 brings you the breaking news and insights in the industry as explained by the leaders and experts in the space. Tune in now!

With new surf parks opening up around the world, the timing for Surf Park Summit 2020 could not be better. The proliferation and viability of the surf park business is gaining momentum like never before. And because of all the new businesses and technology, there are more questions than ever.

Surf Park Summit 2020 will seek to answer these questions, as well as take a deep dive into what’s coming down the pipeline in the not-too-distant future.

“The excitement around surf parks has been steadily growing, but over the last 12 months things have really kicked into overdrive. It’s an incredibly exciting time to be part of this new movement in surfing and wave creation,” says Dr. Jess Ponting, Co-Founder of Surf Park Summit and Lead at San Diego State University’s Center for Surf Research. “Surf Park Summit 2020 will bring the most influential minds in the industry to discuss at length the most relevant issues.”

Already this month we’ve seen The Wave in Bristol, England, and URBN Surf in Melbourne, Australia, begin testing waves and planning for their grand openings. Both facilities utilizes Wavegarden’s Cove Technology.  Both Nick Hounsfield, founder of The Wave, and Andrew Ross, CEO of URBN Surf, will be in attendance at the Surf Summit.

But they’re hardly the only ones that will be there that are making news. An all-star list of luminaries in the surf park space have signed on to come share their insights, perspectives and learnings. Nick Franklin, President of Kelly Slater Wave Company, will be sharing his experiences throughout his revolutionary venture.

And from Australia, Surf Lakes founder and CEO Aaron Trevis will be on hand to talk about the unconventional technology they’re implementing in their north Queensland test facility. Legislators and investors will also be on hand to talk about the current legal issues facing surf parks and how to get them funded.

“You’re literally hearing from the people that are creating the surf park industry. Collectively, you won’t find that kind of experience and knowledge anywhere else in the world,” continued Ponting. “To be able to put all of these people in a room together and having meaningful conversations and discussions, it’s invaluable.”

Space for Surf Summit 2020 is limited, even with the virtual setting, so if you’re interested in this subject and are looking for unrivaled access to the best and brightest minds, sign up early.

Today is the most exciting time for surf parks and there’s much to be learned. See you in San Diego this spring!
